Questions we get asked a lot.

Yes. Coins reset at the end of each billing month and do not roll over. You get a fresh block at the start of each month.

Your account manager replies the same day. Engineering work starts based on your package tier:

  • Large: within 2 business days
  • Medium: within 3 business days
  • Small: within 1 week

This applies to your first task after signing up and to every new request during the engagement. Larger blocks get scheduled faster because we reserve hours in advance.

Rush work is available at 2x the coin rate and starts within hours instead of days. To keep response times fair to all clients, rush requests are capped at one per month per package.
Packages run month to month with a 30-day written notice to cancel. No long-term contract. The notice window exists so we can plan 30 days ahead and staff every client properly. It is how we protect the quality of the work and avoid overcommitting the team.
Two options. Top up at your current tier's coin rate with written approval (email is fine), or upgrade to the next tier to unlock a cheaper coin rate. Upgrades take effect immediately.
You can upgrade any time during the ongoing month and it takes effect right away. Downgrades take effect the next billing cycle and must be confirmed before the new cycle starts. No mid-month downgrades.
Requests come in through a shared Slack channel with the team. You get a weekly report showing coins spent by role, what was delivered, and what is planned next.

Yes. Every package includes account manager hours for a scheduled monthly sync, status updates, and coordination:

  • Small: 1 hour included
  • Medium: 2 hours included
  • Large: 4 hours included

Day-to-day coordination runs async in Slack and does not count against these hours. If you need more (spec writing, multi-team coordination, stakeholder management), extra hours bill at the Senior Developer rate of 6 coins per hour.

The CTO assigns roles based on task requirements. Architecture and CTO-level work is billed at the Fractional CTO & Software Architect rate.
No. No cash refunds, no credit, no rollover into the next month. This keeps pricing simple and fair across all clients.
